The Speech Pathology Group (SPG) is currently interviewing for an AAC Specialist position in the San Francisco Bay Area.SPG has developed a strong AAC & AT program that is dedicated to providing outstanding service to area school districts You will be joining a network of AAC colleagues that can support and collaborate with you to enhance your career. Our vibrant AAC learning communities meet regularly to share ideas and support, with frequent professional development opportunities.
Duties will include providing: assessments and recommendations for high tech, low tech, and no tech AAC; demonstration therapy and implementation techniques; professional and communication partner trainings.
This position may also involve supervisory, mentoring, and leadership roles.
To qualify for this position, you must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience providing AAC implementation and assessments for those with Complex Communication Needs, Autism Spectrum, and have experience with a broad range of disabilities. Prior AAC coursework and Assistive Technology experience is a bonus!
