The position of Speech-Language Pathology Manager is responsible for planning, directing, implementing, coordinating and improving the activities of all Respective Services (Physical, Occupation, Speech, and Outpatient Rehabilitation). This includes staffing and program development in Acute Care, Acute Rehabilitation, and Outpatient Services, at both Garfield Medical Center and Monterey Park Hospital. The position reports to the Director of Rehabilitation Services at each Garfield Medical Center.
He/she participates in direct patient evaluation and treatment to facilitate and/or restore speech, language, cognitive and swallowing functions and collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Entry level degree and appropriate licensure in Allied Health Profession required (Speech-Language Pathology).
Minimum five years patient care experience to include acute care, outpatient and inpatient rehab.
Supervisory experience, teaching, training and mentoring experience preferred.
Additional preferences but not mandatory:
5. Prefer experience with Adults, pediatrics, Modified Barium Swallow and FEEs
