We're growing! Two NEW positions available to join a progressive group of 10 audiologists within our Center for Audiology & Speech Pathology at UTMB Health. UTMB is a leading academic health sciences center located on a barrier island along the Texas Gulf Coast, approximately 50 miles south of Houston. Galveston Island has 32 miles of beachfront, winter temperatures ranging from 50's - 80's, and over 550 historical landmarks. The island has a year round population of 60,000 with 6.5 million visitors per year.
The Center's provides a full range of audiological services to patients of all ages (infants to geriatrics):
- Audiological evaluation for pediatric to geriatric patients
- Hearing aid evaluation, fitting and maintenance
- Central auditory processing evaluation
- Electrophysiological testing (ECoG, ABR, MLR, LVR, P300, ENoG, VEMP)
- Cochlear implants
- Vestibular testing
- rotary chair
Additional opportunities include medical resident and medical student teaching, preceptor opportunities with 4th year audiology externs, and opportunities to participate in clinical research and program development.
