The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders in the Dewar College of Education and Human Services seeks qualified applicants for a tenure track, academic faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Appointment date is August 1, 2017. All Valdosta State University faculty share the responsibility of teaching courses at multiple levels as needed in their respective disciplines. To carry out our comprehensive mission, we seek faculty with the desire and ability to successfully engage students as they launch or continue their intellectual journey.
Responsibilities include teaching a combination of graduate, undergraduate and doctoral courses, mentoring candidates, and recruitment of students to the program. Organize, conduct, and publish scholarly investigations. Seek external funding, provide clinical supervision on and/or off campus, directing student research and conducting research, and performing other scholarly activities, serve on Departmental, College, and University committees as assigned. Service to the profession and community are expected.
