Part-Time or Full-Time Clinical Fellows and CCC-SLP Welcome----from CF to experienced clinician. $4,000 CF Sign-on Bonus with 22-27 days paid vacation and holidays---depending on salary package chosen; medical, retirement, dues, and other benefits provided. Total salary + bonus + benefits "package" is $49,540-$50,500 for a CF. Retirement plan available 2nd year. Company cars are also available for travel. Mileage reimbursement also. 75% of our 65 speech pathologists choose to be paid by the session and still be entitled to benefits and being a W2 employee but to be paid at a higher level and to work just school hours, typically, by their choice.
No "productivity" or "utilization" requirements and no work in nursing homes. All clinicians are real "W-2" employees and not so-called "1099" independent contractors and the salary is a real guaranteed salary (rather than hourly pay for direct therapy time only). There is no reduction in salary pay if work is not available.
Deborah L. Curlee Communication Consultants ("CCC") is located in Knoxville, TN. CCC is a 36 year old private practice that is the largest in East Tennessee with 65 Masters' degreed SLPs. CCC's caseload is mostly pediatrics but a smaller adult caseload is also available. Our company is owned and operated by a speech-language pathologist, Deborah Curlee Hall, M.A. CCC-SLP, and provides a varied and diverse caseload in multiple settings, making this an enriching job opportunity for either CF-SLPs or CCC-SLPs with experience. We are glad to help train SLPs who may lack exposure or experience with certain populations but who would like the opportunity to "shadow" and learn new skills.
Our pediatric population consists of Birth to 3 for early intervention working with families. Preschool and school age children are served individually in schools for speech/language disorders, including some with multiple handicaps (autism, cerebral palsy, etc.) but without the burden of school system case management, IEP meetings, and school system paperwork. Opportunities in working with adults in home health settings are also available. SLPs are mostly needed to help serve the 1,800 children we see, individually, in schools where we provide the services while the school system's clinicians are the case managers and the ones writing the IEPs, etc.
CCC has a reputation for quality and ethics in the community. (CCC declines to do any work in nursing homes.) CCC provides a friendly and supportive network for its staff, whether CFs or seasoned SLPs. Strong CF supervision and extra support is provided by experienced speech-language pathologists. Highly competitive pay (guaranteed salary) and benefits in a low cost-of-living university community close to the Smoky Mountains, parks, and lakes. (Knoxville is a small city with big city amenities, and Tennessee is a NO income tax state with reasonable apartment rents and no big city headaches).
CCC does not have "productivity requirements" (mandatory daily or weekly billing requirements) and uses a unique performance-based incentive system to reward strong performance with the opportunity to earn monthly bonuses on top of the guaranteed salary.
Unique opportunity for a 4-day work week (32 hour) during the summer with no reduction in pay. 10 month contracts are available for those who do not wish to work at all in the summer. For those who want to have even more time off, part-time work is also available as are other highly flexible schedules for those who want to work school hours only, want to work certain days a week only or who are otherwise seeking part-time work on a per-session or salaried basis.
CCC provides services in the Knoxville area and adjacent counties and also serve locations as far east as Morristown, Greeneville, Kingsport and Johnson City, Tennessee. Help is needed to serve preschool and school-aged children, individually, in the Knoxville area and also upper East Tennessee (Kingsport, Johnson City, etc.) for individual sessions in schools with no school system paperwork or having to attend meetings or write IEPs as is required of a school system SLP.
