About the position This is an exciting full-time clinical and clinical research opportunity. You will lead a team of cognitive rehab and SLP therapist in helping diagnose and treat cognitive and language disorders in outpatients with neurodevelopmental, acquired and traumatic brain injury, as well as, early stage neurodegenerative disorders. You will join a team of experts in cognitive neuroscience. You will be responsible for conducting diagnostic intakes and administering cognitive, language, behavioral and other cortical functional measures. You will also be responsible for treating patients across the age span with the opportunity to specialize in treating patients with specific disorders. Consultation and liaison work with schools, other institutions and clinicians is also incorporated into the full-time positions as well as research. Supervision of junior clinical staff and SLP fellows is also required.
At least 5 years of experience in testing and treating patients with cognitive, speech and language disorders, as well as prior supervisor experience. We prefer candidates with additional certifications and/or training in assessing and treating various learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dyscalculia and written expression disorders for our pediatric and adolescent division. We offer training on a wide range of different diagnostic tests and platforms, as well as, neurocognitive rehabilitation interventions. The candidate must also be licensed or licensed eligible in NJ and have a Medicare/Medicaid or be eligible for Medicare/Medicaid provider number.
