Participate in team assessments of school age students. Develop specific goals based on assessments. Collaborate and work with members of the education team and with parents. Knowledge of research-based methodologies in the treatment of preschoolers and elementary students with autism (e.g., PECS, discrete trial therapy) is highly desirable. Conduct therapeutic interventions using a variety of service delivery models (including classroom collaboration) to identify students. Provide in-service to teachers and parents on the nature of the communication disorders.
A) Possession of a valid California Credential authorizing Speech & Language Services. -OR- B) A Master’s degree in communicative disorders, plus a valid license issued by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board and passage of CBEST -OR- BSR equivalency as allowed by CTC (call Virginia for more details - if you have met all other requirements except CBEST/BSR)
