The University of South Alabama (USA) is accepting applications for a Speech-Language Pathology tenure-track faculty position. This is a 12-month position with a rank of assistant or associate professor. Salary is competitive. Requirements include a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree (ABD considered) and CCC-SLP (CF considered). Primary duties include development of a personal research program; teaching at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels; mentoring student research; and limited clinical teaching. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, but candidates with expertise in pediatrics are preferred. The USA graduate programs in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology are accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation. The USA Speech and Hearing Center and its affiliated ENT practice are housed within the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology, one of eight departments in the Pat Capps Covey College of Allied Health Professions. USA’s Colleges of Allied Health Professions, Medicine, and Nursing, as well as the USA teaching hospitals and clinics offer a wide variety of research opportunities and teaching support for faculty and students. USA, a research rich institution, is located in the historic and vibrant gulf coast city of Mobile.
