Expressions Speech & Language Center is an SLP-owned company in Burlington, NC, serving children 2 months-12+ years, operating in North Carolina since 2000.
The owner, Dawn Moore, is an SLP with 18 years of experience in North Carolina Public Schools and private practice. In 2006, she was awarded the Teacher of Excellence Award at the NC Exceptional Children’s conference. She presents across ...the state and country on Cycles for Phonololgy, her own /r/ program, "Let's Hear It For R!", and tongue tie. She has supervised many SLP’s and assistants she has employed as well as students in varying educational programs. Her main interests are articulation and phonological delays and the effects of tongue-tie on speech for which she is returning to school to study while pursuing her clinical doctorate. She is also pursuing her certification in Orofacial Myology.
Expressions Speech is run together with her husband, Rick Moore, an SLPA in the private practice. She freely offers her materials on her website geared toward both schools and private practice settings and truly enjoys teaching others in the field clinical techniques that have worked for her and believes we learn the most from each other.
Expressions Speech is proud of our reputation in North Carolina for training, supervising, and supporting the speech-language pathologists that work with us. Our employees are never left to flounder and have support 24/7.
