Join a progressive group of 10 audiologists and 3 AuD externs within our Center for Audiology & Speech Pathology at UTMB Health. UTMB is a leading academic health sciences center located on a barrier island along the Texas Gulf Coast, approximately 50 miles south of Houston. Galveston Island has 32 miles of beachfront, winter temperatures ranging from 50's - 80's, and over 550 historical landmarks. The island has a year round population of 60,000 with 6.5 million visitors per year.
The Assistant Director of Audiology will:
Provide leadership and management of day-to-day clinical operations
Provide direct clinical care in audiological testing
Provide oversight and guidance of audiologists and residents
Perform employee evaluations
Provide for quality patient care through CPI activities
Manage productivity standards for clinicians and section targeted efficiency
Partner with the Center Director in development of clinical programming
Partner with Assistant Director of Speech Pathology and the Center Director in general administrative operations and long range planning for the Center
The Center provides a full range of audiological services to patients of all ages (infants to geriatrics):
Additional opportunities include medical resident and medical student teaching, preceptor opportunities with 4th year audiology externs (3 positions per year) and opportunities to participate in clinical research and program development.

The selected candidate will possess a minimum of a Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree, minimum of six years of management experience, national clinical certification, and currently holds or eligible for Texas Audiology license from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
