Responsible for assessments, report writing, creating goals, collaboration with staff and attending IEP meetings. Direct therpy (individual and small group); push-in and pull-out models; possible co-treating with occupational therapist and or school psychologist.
Clinical Rehabilitation Speech and Language
ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL
Plan and implement a program in accordance with SELPA guidelines, state and federal regulations, and individual education plans
Assess students in area of potential disability, prepare evaluation reports and draft goals objectives when needed
Report student progress in relationship to the IEP to members of the staff and parents
Schedule and attend IEP meetings for students and attend other such meetings appropriate to assigned duties
Organize and maintain an appropriate environment for students which is safe, orderly, and conducive to learning
Maintain professional demeanor with students, staff, and parents
Other duties as assigned
Letter of Interest
Valid California Credential authorizing speech, language and hearing services to K-8 students
Three Letters of Recommendation
Valid California Credential includes Speech-Language Pathology Services: Speech, Language and Hearing or Clinical or Rehabilitative Services: Speech, Language and Hearing
Additional Salary Information: Placement on Walnut Creek Teacher's Association Salary Schedule; + $1,200/yr master's degree stipend
