The Division of Communicative Disorders in the Department of Surgery, University of Louisville School of Medicine, is seeking to hire two tenure-track Assistant Professors of Speech-Language Pathology beginning August, 2010. Positions begin the Fall semester and are 9 month contracts. Responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate teaching, academic advising, scholarly research activities, supervision, and departmental and university services. There is opportunity for private practice with our faculty practice group. One candidate must have expertise in teaching the following courses: Articulation and Phonology, Assessment of Childhood Language Disorders, Preschool Language Intervention, and Medical Speech Pathology. The other candidate must have expertise in teaching the following courses: Neurological Disorders, Aphasia, and Cognitive Disorders. Team teaching is required for Survey of Communicative Disorders and Professional Issues. Qualifications include an earned doctorate from an accredited program, eligibility for Kentucky state licensure and must possess the Certificate of Clinical Competence.
